Identity & hours

Verify the data plate, model, serial number and displayed hours; missing or inconsistent identifiers are noted.

Engine & cold start

Where site conditions allow, observe cold start, smoke, abnormal noise, visible leaks and basic running condition.

Hydraulics & functions

Operate travel, steering and work functions to observe response, drift, leakage and abnormal movement.

Electrical & controls

Review displays, warnings, lights, switches, starting and charging condition, plus visible wiring damage.

Structure & work equipment

Inspect the frame, boom, arm, work equipment, weld areas, pins and bushings for damage, repairs or excessive movement.

Undercarriage or tyres

Record track, roller, sprocket and shoe condition, or tyre and rim wear for wheeled equipment.
